BridgeView Design Build is a homeowners dream come true.
We specialize in working with clients to develop your dreams and visons
and make them a reality. We focus on building custom architectually
interesting homes for the homeowner who demands quality and style. One of my latest projects,
perfecting an outdoor living space for recreation and grilling, can be seen in This Old House magazine and on their web site.
BridgeView Design Build is the culmination of over 25 years of building experience. As the son
of a builder, Richard McCracken, I worked with my father at a young age trying to learn how to build
houses. I built my first house in College Park MD, when I was 21. I did not fully understand the building process,
but learned quickly working with my father. The second house that I built in Hyattsville was a project that I
partnered with my father. I took on a lot of responsibility and learned how to manage construction projects.
In the early 90's I bought a lot in Arlington and built my first house in Virginia. I purchased a small house on Harrison Street in 1995.
The renovation and addition of Harrison St. was my arrival, designing and
developing a home with style, character and built with Quality as the foundation.
